They're today's teenage gladiators who are out to make a name for their school district, their community. They take to the gridiron to represent the brown and gold as if it were their birth right. They've left blood and sweat on the field as a symbol of their hard-work and determination. They are the members of the Western Brown High School varsity football team, and this year they have something to prove.
The Bethel-Tate Tigers step on the gridiron this season with hopes of capturing their first Southern Buckeye Athletic/Academic Conference American Division Title since 2000 and, according to head coach Wayne Stacy, this year's team will have what it takes to accomplish their goal.
Regardless of the outcome, this year's Rockets will make their mark in school history. Fayetteville-Perry High School has suited up its first varsity football team for the 2010 season. In their first year on the varsity level, the Rockets will not compete in a conference.
