Helen Jo Megie-Rooks, 73, of Loveland, died Friday, July 16, 2010 in Loveland.
She was a member of the Loveland OES, graduated from Deer Park High School in 1954, graduated from Raymond Walters Nursing College in 1986, and worked at an RN at Bethesda North Hospital until her retirement in 1996.
She was born Aug. 1, 1936 in Cincinnati the daughter of the late Roy C. Ferguson and Helen Margaret Foertsch Ferguson Shivel. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Elmore E. Megie; one daughter, Brenda L. Megie; and stepdaughter, Lesley Fisher.
Mrs. Megie-Rooks is survived by her husband, John Leslie Jack Rooks of Loveland; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Jo Phillips-Schnecker and Nels Schnecker; two sons and daughters-in-law, David R. and Annette Megie and Thomas A. Stacy Megie; stepdaughter and spouse, Jackie and Bill Siders, all of Loveland; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Sally Carr of Loveland.
Visitation and funeral services were held Tuesday, July 20 at Craver Riggs Funeral Home, in Milford. The Megie Funeral Home, in Mt. Orab, serving the family.
