David Lee Shively, 90, of Decatur, died Tuesday Jan. 8, 2013 at Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Ripley.
Mr. Shively was a factory worker at Ford Motor Company.
He was born June 28, 1922 in Clermont County, the son of the late Avery Mearl Shively and Della Davis Shively. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Geneva Holland Shively; two brothers, Carlton M. Shively and Roy James Shively; and one daughter in law, Viola Shively.
Mr. Shively is survived by his wife, Ruth Holton Shively of Decatur, two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Sonny Shively of Florida and Daniel M. and Ruth Shively of Troy, Texas; one stepson and spouse, John C. and Cathy Dyer of Ripley, seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held Friday, Jan. 11, at Meeker Funeral Home, in Russellville. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 12, at the funeral home. Rev. Harold Arthur and Drew Lane officiated. Burial was in Liberty Chapel Cemetery.
