Fifteen-year old Elijah McCarty, a sophomore-to-be at West Union High School, achieved the dream of every golfer on June 29 as he competed in the weekly Monday night scramble on the course at the Adams County Country Club.

Teeing off on the 146-yard, par 3 fourth hole on the course, McCarty came up aces as he drilled a hole-in-one, witnessed by fellow golfers Jacob Pell, Craig Horton, Conner Campbell, and Carson McFarland. This was McCarty’s second career hole-in-one.

Playing for West Union High School, McCarty was one of the top golfers last fall in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference and will again be one of the favorites in the conference when the 2015 season begins.
